About Us

“Kavitha English School” was named after the Goddess “Saraswathy’ the embodiment of Education and owes its birth on 1st June 1982 in order to impart true education blended with moral and ethical values. The school is run by “Kavitha Educatoinal & Charitable Trust” C. Pallavaram, Chennai – 600 043, as registered body under the Indian Trust Acts.

The school is located at No.5, Hassan Basha cross street, Essa Pallavaram, Chennai 600 043 imparting education from LKG to XII STD.

We have upgraded the school into a Matriculation Higher Secondary School from June 1999. We have been sending our X standard students for the S.S.L.C Public Examination since March 1994 and Higher Secondary Public Examination since March 2000 and producing 100% results.

The syllabus we teach here for the children upto Std XII is based on samacheer syllabus, framed by Government of Tamil Nadu. We give equal importance to the three languages i.e., English, Tamil and Hindi. Accordingly, English and Tamil are taught from Nursery and Hindi from LKG classes.

We develop neat manners by awarding marks to the special subjects such as cleanliness, comprehension, communication, discipline, Godliness, group cohesiveness, moral courage, good manners, punctuality, responsibility, respect of public and private property, sports, games, social relationship, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

We would like to impart a unified development as far as possible in the young minds of the children.

We seek the co-operation of all the parents in all our endeavors by ”Parent- Teachers” Meeting/conference atleast once in a term.

Hence, we would like to place an appeal to the parents, public and the Well- Wishers to give their fullest co-operation and support to improve the school in all the efforts taken by the management.

About Our Founder


  • Shri. M. KUPPUSWAMI, B.SC., M.A., M.Ed., S.D.T.B., D.S.M. is the founder cum Managing Trustee of our Kavitha Educational & Charitable Trust & former correspondent of our Kavitha Matriculation Higher Secondary School. He entered the Government service as a principal in poonamallee Government Higher Secondary School for the Blind, Government of Tamil Nadu.
  • Then he became Assistant Director for special schools in Social Welfare Department, Chennai-600 005, Government of Tamil Nadu. In this post he served for 10 years in social welfare Department for which he received award from Government of Tamil Nadu for his distinguished service for the differently abled persons.
  • He was a great human being, Humanist, Philanthropist and is admired for his remarkable strength and resourcefulness.
  • According to him teaching is the noblest service in the world. His passion for teaching and ambition to become a teacher was finally fulfilled by opening a school in the name of “ KAVITHA MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL” in the year of 1984 with 2 Teacher’s and 20 tiny tots .
  • Shri. M. KUPPUSWAMI sir, is a constant supporter and an inspiration to the teaching faculty of KAVITHA MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL. Our teachers and students have reached greater heights under the constants guidance and care provided by him.
  • Now our school rose to greater heights in terms of standard and strength in moral ethical values because of him alone…….

KAVITHA MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL owes its utmost gratitude to its correspondent late Smt. T. RAJESWARI, M.A., B.Ed., Retired Teacher, Government Higher Secondary School, Nagalkeni. She was a far visioned pioneer who had lofty dreams to serve the society. This school developed step by step due to the relentless efforts, timeless and selfless service of Smt. T. RAJESWARI Madam. She was a beacon of light to the future generations who scaled new heights in the field of Education.

She devoted her entire life for the cause of education of young kids in our locality. In particular, she ensured that all the girls who joined our school went on to complete their higher secondary education irrespective of their economical status. Having served the under privileged kids in Government primary school as a teacher, she very well knew the pulse of the students and teachers as well. And, that is the prime reason behind her success as a educationist.

She is an enthusiastic Commerce, Accountancy & Hindi teacher, who has over 25 years of experience in teaching. She started her teaching career in 1993 and became Principal from 1999 in KAVITHA MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL, PALLAVARAM, till date. she is a warm and caring principal. she put more efforts on slow learners .
